How We Calculate Earnings

The Two Data Tiers
Every platform on an artist page is labeled Measured or Modeled, so you always know how solid a number is before you trust it.

Spotify, YouTube, Audiomack, Boomplay and Apple Music sync independently, an artist can be Measured on some of the platforms and still show as Modeled on others while waiting for that specific sync to catch up.
How a "Modeled" Estimate is Built
For platforms with no public stream data, we take the artist's real (measured) Spotify or YouTube total and apply a regional platform share ratio to estimate what the numbers would look like on the unmeasured platform.
Why Artist Earnings, Not Song?
We choose artist earnings because it's a more sustainable way to provide real numbers. This means the numbers you see reflect an artist's whole body of work, not just some of their songs.
Why the Numbers Might Change Over Time
Payout rate and platform share ratios are reviewed periodically against current industry reporting. An artist's estimated earnings can change simply because their data was refreshed.
Currency Conversion
Naira figures are converted from a live USD exchange rate, refreshed regularly so the figures remains as accurate as possible.
